6 hours and 15 women later, we had made a huge batch of homemade chocolates! A friend from church opens her home to one and all who want to try their hand at making chocolates. Beginners welcome, so Carol took the plunge, literally! What a treat...hands covered in warm, delicious chocolate...milk, white or dark...

We made about 17 varieties, some more labour intensive than others, some messier than others, but in the end, ALL GOOD! Peanut butter cups, truffles made with ice cream instead of cream (so smooth), turtles made in actual turtle molds, mint, orange, maple, caramels, toffees, rocas...
Thankfully, it was a reasonably cold day so the fondants could be stored outside. The photo shows about 1/2 while the other half was still inside being made, being finished or being started. Thankfully, people brought treats to eat and one person brought a cilantro salsa that cut right through all the sweets to give a fresh taste to the day! Thankfully, there were all these women willing to share their time so we could all enjoy!
If you play your cards right, there may be some left to share when you come by over Christmas!
