Memorial Hall is meant for rest and reflection. It contains a single lone artifact: the headstone of the Unknown Soldier from the First World War. Each Remembrance Day, November 11, at 11 a.m....the headstone is directly illuminated through a lone window opposite.

This museum is a special place. There are so many little things that have been included by the architect that are not well known. When you first enter, it is noticeably cool...almost cold. The stone work and lighting seem to make it a gloomy place, but as you explore, you see the work, hope and sacrifice of our soldiers. Gloom is replaced by pride and gratitude. I'm grateful to live in a country of freedom and peace. May those always be values that are protected and preserved.
