Kindred Spirits tradition...campfire at least 3 night a week, and since we were there a week...the boys hit every one and got most of the marshmellows to boot!
Shane taught Sean the finer points of chess and they had some great games with the huge chess set. Ryan just liked hanging out!!
Carol blending in with the scenery of Singing Sands Beach (actually Basin Head Beach, but who'd remember that?!). Tide was out and the weather was perfect. Great day for beachcombing.

Cavendish Provincial ParkJoel loves to build his structures...sand wasn't good enough. He had to incorporate some of the great, red sandstones found everywhere.
Another great day at the beach...so grateful for the sun, sand and water. Such different beauty from our beloved Rocky Mountains.
Just back from body surfing. They were especially grateful for the sun!!
The Heberts (our friends we met in PEI) have a wonderful tradition of lighting sparklers the last night of holidays. And so they brought sparklers out for us on our last night. All 5 kids spin light and fantasy.
Shane was so great with the boys...maybe some "big brother" admiration going on from Sean, but we were so thankful that Shane took to the boys and really took care of them. He truly liked playing with them, riding on rides with them and teaching them things.
Ryan wore Shane out...and we thought Shane had lots of energy!
The morning we left, we caught this shot of the boys all sitting at the picnic table, heads down...being sad we had to go. To the Heberts...THANK-YOU so much for all the memories, especially the wonderful (and sad) goodbye as we drove away! We will see you in two years!! Here's to Raspberry Cordial and icecream!
