December 23rd marked the 5 year anniversary of Carol being cancer-free! It was a cause to celebrate, a milestone to be marked and an excuse to party!
Surrounded by friends who have been there with their gifts of time, flowers, meals, expressions of concern, words of encouragement and continual positive attitudes (and don't forget chocolate!), it was truly a night to celebrate. Five pink balloons for 5 years, plus one more for a bright future (thank-you Trina) and beautiful pink flowers are gentle reminders of the pink ribbon that has come to represent breast cancer. May all of you think of others at this time, regardless of their struggles. I know what a difference real friends can make.
